Point Blank: The Sweet Tea Party
By Aiwal Ture
The past several years have brought about a change for many people and their lives; as life is supposed to change and nothing stays the same forever. It either evolves into something better or becomes worse. We have a president who ran on the emphasis of bringing about a change. But from studying history, when change takes place, a gap is developed by those who are at ease and comfortable with their way of life and those who demand change. Now prior to our current president (Barack Obama) there was a great sense of dissatisfaction among a significant size of the country’s population due to the former president (George W. Bush). As I have learned recently is that it only takes 30% of a population to be dissatisfied to bring about a change, and from the look of things this number exceeded 30%. Being that the “United” States of America is a so called democracy we all have the right to agree and/or disagree. There is nothing wrong with this. But when the disagreeing turns into all out disrespect and racism, one must ask what is the driving factor behind the disagreement. It is fine to disagree with policies you feel will affect you negatively such as healthcare, education, etc. but when the disagreeing turns into a word battle of slurs and extreme disrespect, there is a problem; as this creates HATE. Out of all my years of living and the surviving of some horrible presidents, I have never seen certain citizens in so much outrage. It appears to be more than policies fueling this rage. I’ve seen these crowds of thugs, ruffians, and barbarians gather and chant some of the most vile (morally despicable) comments and hold very negative pictures of our current president. Some have signs comparing him to Adolf Hitler. Wow! Some scenes from these rallies look like scenes from the 1940’s to the 60’s. Well I guess the foundation and core of this country continues to expose itself to the world. It appears that the mask is slowly but surely coming off certain parts of our population. Events such as Hurricane Katrina and rallies by these gangs called the Tea Party should really not surprise us on how certain people feel. If many members of this crowd are so eagerly willing to make such savage and racist comments about the president, how do they really feel about the young man they cheer on who is of the same race as the president running that football down the field for their Alma Mater or favorite team. Hmmm?
Point Blank:
When people think of tea they think of a sweet tasty drink on a hot summer day. But due to some savage goons this drink has become unbearable to drink due to the sour lemons added to the “party”. Although our country is titled the “United “States of America, the only things united are the actual land boundaries of the 48 connected states. Americans only unite during sporting events, then disperse back to hating each other; idiots. When I see males in old colonial uniforms and signs reading “Obama Plan= White Slavery” I really have to question the motive behind them. Is it that they really disagree with the policies being proposed? Or is it they are worried because of their forefather’s past actions. This country could really evolve into something great but it is in reverse at the moment. There is a huge blame game towards the president. In that case, there is another population that should be raising a lot more hell about the large companies that built this empire with the free labor, blood, sweat, and tears of their ancestors. I hear and see a comment many of the Tea Party people say is “they are taking back their country”. I say to them please let me know who took it. Please!

Point Blank: Freedom (the most misunderstood yet desired word)
FREEDOM
The radiant sun, moon, and clouds float around freely in our presence mostly everyday. They appear to be shown and moving without any restraints. The sun rises from the east and sets in the west. When it sets the moon appears brighter from the sun’s reflection. The clouds float in their direction night and day as they please. As free as they are, they all move under a law; each one fulfilling its role to their potential.
The sun which is 853,000 miles in diameter produces a light and energy that travels at a speed of 186,000 miles per second. This light gives the earth and other planets the energy to rotate on her axis at 1,037 & 1/3 miles per hour. The sun also provides heat, germinates seeds and allows vegetation to grow.
The moon manifests itself through its magnetic pull in influencing the tides of water. It can produce high tides when closer to earth and low tides farther away.
Clouds are formed by heat from the sun turning water into a gaseous state called vapors. These vapors form a union with other vapors producing the visible cloud we see. When the cloud becomes too heavy, the water within them falls, in the form of precipitation, due to the law of gravity. These three things have their freedom and understand their roles within it.
Now let us look at these three things doing as they please without any law. If the sun freely stopped shining the vegetation wouldn’t grow and motion would stop. If the moon freely got too close to earth there would be tsunamis and floods never heard of. If the clouds never got heavy enough to produce rain there would be no drinking water; therefore all life would die.
POINT BLANK:
Freedom is not a soft cookie cutter word or state of being. Although the word “freedom” enables one to act or live as they please, that’s simply not how it works; even though many fight and strive for that. People should be allowed to prosper and grow freely expressing their passion and talents making them complete and fulfilling their highest potential. But when those passions and talents go against the law of nature and lose its moral fabric, destruction begins. Humans, who are supposedly the most intelligent form of life on this planet, have the free will to do as pleased, but they must bear the moral responsibility for their choice. The Law of Karma. See how everything has a law. Certain groups are fighting for members of the gay community to get married. If everyone married their same sex how could nature honestly take its course and allow the natural reproduction of children? We see how our society has developed a love for pets. What if pet owners wanted to marry their pets? Should they be given that freedom? For some odd reason some are having sex with their pets; but I digress. With all the extreme freedoms in America, we wonder why we are in such a detrimental state right now.
Let us examine some of these extreme freedoms we live and love. The freedom of children to have more rights than parents and adults has allowed kids to be highly defiant at home and school. The freedom of not investing available time and money in education has allowed the increase of illiteracy and the drop out rate. The freedom of elected officials lying without any consequences has allowed the deaths of too many of our loved ones. I’m not opposed to war; I’m opposed to war for deceitful personal gains. The freedom of allowing judges, officers, and others who uphold the law to imprison others with harsh and long sentences for the “same” acts they are found committing has allowed the justice system to be defined as hypocrites with the lost of trust and respect. The freedom of “legally” medicating our kids has allowed them to not be able to independently think without drugs. And many wonder why meth is so prevalent. The doctors have the kids strung out by 3 years old now! This list can continue but anyone with a portion of common sense should get the picture. All of these stupid and irresponsible freedoms allow this present day stupid and irresponsible reality. So I ask my fellow Americans in the land of the “free”. How much freedom do we allow? Too much of anything can be bad. Too much freedom will ultimately have you enslaved to some type of destruction. As we witness now, our country is incarcerated to the results of extreme freedoms given with no responsible consequences. I say love freedom! Live it as well. But within the law of morals and nature. Peace!

So Damn Free!!! by Aiwal Ture
So Damn Free
Let freedom ring/But how much do you want it
So much that you’ll have/Your personal enslavements flaunted
The focus of a group/Eliminating segregation
With vertical aspiration/Of merging to integration
Freedoms of being alike/that done led to deprivation
Of what you were/To present nauseating degradation
Freedom gained your independence/Now you free to do as pleased
Work anywhere, eat anything, and enjoy the luxuries
If I said that I need you/And you need me back shorty
I’d get a frown, a nigga please, a blatant ass ignore me
The sons and daughters of slaves/Don’t even need each other
To the point a man is not needed/To make that lady a mother
So free to be me/So free to be them
Where men can be women/And women can be men
So FREE enjoy freedom/While freely I free speak
While I continue to watch the slaves/Pretend to free think!

Point Blank: My Capital Tis Of Thee
My Capital Tis of Thee
I was once told by a doctor, “the profit is not in the cure”. Some intelligent reason of mine says that doesn’t sound right and exhibits bad ethics. But this is what I see in all aspects of our society. I pose this question. How free is one to play upon the emotions and well being of people through deception?
Many people visit doctors to improve their condition. Our doctors, who many trust with their health, could easily diagnose your issue and educate you on necessary dietary laws of living; providing an overall better health and eradicating the problem. But most doctors prescribe a medicine which only rids you of obvious symptoms, never eliminates the ailment, and adds more problems down the road, we call side effects. This makes the patient a consumer who continues to come back as more problems progress.
Many people attend religious centers in an honest attempt to living a wholesome life to please God. Sad to say there are too many who know how to manipulate everyday, honest, and downtrodden people. So along with the doctors, we have those in clergy gaining wealth from their congregation through their counterfeit actions. Not wealth for the people they serve but individual, lavish, and greedy wealth for self.
Not only have these two fields of our society became capital deceivers. We have the prison industry; whereas you have a “big company” who no longer needs a person trying to make a decent wage with health benefits. Now they can hire the incarcerated person at $0.08 cents an hour. So prison becomes more of a profiting business instead of a rehabilitation and correctional service. Schools have even found a way to gain money through diagnosing children and placing them in special education classes. Did you know that many of our youth centers and group homes get more funding incentives for kid’s negative behavior? Then we go right back to the doctor to place them on many drugs. Wow! This is what we are really dealing with. This should really make you wonder about our society and the motives of many. I write this not in rebellion to our society, but in love for the genuine people who get taken advantage of daily. One may argue that individuals have the right to refuse or accept these services. But when so many people are molded from childhood to accept these practices at face value as being good, in the name of being a good citizen, how will most people reject it?
POINT BLANK:
There can hardly be any genuine motives behind many people’s actions in such a capital and money driven society. There is so much room for exploitation of people in the name of money. The title “free enterprise” needs to be looked at skeptically. One can freely build their enterprise through freely playing with the health, emotions and well being of innocent people. This is deceitful! Quite frankly these liars can go straight to HELL with gasoline underwear on!!! Tell them i said it!

“YOUNG BLACK MAN” by Aiwal Ture
Young Black Man I see you
Homie keep your head up
Sometimes you placed in a position
Thats got you fed up
Know that odds are against you
And some limit your success
But you got to take that mask off
Stop lying to yourself
You weren’t born to be a gangsta
You more than just a thug
Stop imitating this glory
Of how this cat sold drugs
Cause the same rhymes you quote
Some lame lied and wrote
Now these neighborhoods we occupy
Got us at each others throat
Lets do the math on that equation
And see what we figure out
I hate you; You hate me
We delete each other out
Now the grounds we used to walk
We sleep from underneath
Or these bars we behind
Has got our minds wondering
Now if we play this game, the way this game
Was designed to get us through
You can move a mountain and touch your goals
That blueprint lies in you
Hold your head up for a change; Look at GOD
And place no other soul above you
From one man to the next man
Young Black Man I say I Love You

Point Blank: CRUTCHES!!!
CRUTCHES
Life places us all in testing situations. No one I know is dealt a perfect hand of cards. Some enter the world to extreme poverty, physical handicaps, abusive households, crime infested neighborhoods, and many other ills of the world. How one reacts during and after these trials determine whether you want to “lean or intervene”. Do you want to lean on your experience as you would a crutch, or intervene and use your experience as a tool. What do I mean? A person runs on a wet floor; slips, falls, and sprang their ankle. Crutches help this person, who may not be able to walk 100% on their own. This publicly displays that this person needs help, so some may be sympathetic to the condition. Now when this person is able to walk on their own, they could easily get rid of the crutches. But this person may have developed an enjoyment of being helped and receiving sympathy so they continue to lean on the crutches; simply not wanting to walk. This is how some react to their life experiences; creating an unhealthy, pitiful, and nonproductive lifestyle.
A tool is a device used for repairing and building. The same person on the crutches who very well can walk on their own now, could have used their experience as a tool. While being on crutches the person could have examined the incident to see how they could have avoided it and can keep it from occurring again. This person can conclude that it was totally unsafe and not wise to run on a wet floor. While on the crutches and not being able to walk 100%, the person could have realized they don’t want to ever be in this condition again, and teach someone else who may not know they shouldn’t run on a wet floor, so they wont have to experience the immobility. This is a simple analogy but i feel we all can apply this example to many of our previous, present, and future situations. Some of our situations are not avoidable but we try and make sure the next person avoids them.
POINT BLANK:
Most of us are born with challenging situations. You can either take these testing experiences and use them as a crutch for gaining sympathy and creating an excuse to fail for the rest of your life. -OR- You can use your unique experience as a tool of inspiration to show how no predicament can stop you from succeeding; as well prevent or help the youngster following your footsteps from experiencing that!!!

CRIME: Do we PROMOTE and SUPPORT this?
CRIME: Do we promote and support this?
There are two young men who walk life in their own way. The first young man chooses to study and pursue college. The second young man chooses to engage in distributing illegal narcotics. Excluding what circumstances brought them both to these points, on a mainstream scale both men are viewed and treated differently, which is expected. The problems of today come when the first young man is viewed as weak for attempting to further his education. The second young man is admired and praised for his actions. As anyone can vividly see, the second young man has a very short span of success which usually leads to a hole in the ground or behind bars. So what makes the second young man’s actions highly desirable to so many young people today? Is it the flashy jewelry or nice vehicle? Someone doing what the second young man did in the 70′s and 80′s had the same items, but they weren’t as desirable among others as they are now. I feel its deeper than most people would think.
I ask this question a lot now. When did everybody become a “bad ass”? By bad ass I mean a gangster, thug, bully, outlaw, or dopeboy. Well, in my time on this planet I’ve observed many things. One thing for sure is that whatever is promoted is usually accepted by the general population. If a truck company promotes its vehicle as “tough”, most people would accept it and buy it; when in reality the truck is a weak and overpriced automobile. Well this is what we have being promoted now. Simply turn on your radio and/or television and tell me what is heard and seen. The listener may hear the bragging and boasting of murder, illegal drug distribution(trapping), and what it immediately brings; which is gratification. The viewer may see uncontrollable motorcycle gangs, characters trying to be more disrespectful than the last disrespectful character, and highly influential entertainers, athletes, and politicians committing felonies but getting little to no disciplinary action. So after taking all of that in repeatedly for days, months, to years one may become desensitized to such actions. A murder on the evening news becomes nothing more than entertainment.
The dangerous part of this is not only are negative actions being desensitized, they are glorified. People that commit these acts are placed on a pedestal now. A child absorbs everything he/she sees and hears that especially looks good. So if this is what they are exposed to, this is what they will imitate. But what is seen and heard is crippling them. What is shown is a proven method of success only for now. The fall and demise of negative behavior is slightly shown. Remember: Scarface didn’t retire and enjoy his riches. He was miserable snorting cocaine, his woman leaving him, sister getting killed, killing his best friend, and finally himself getting murdered!
POINT BLANK:
Be careful of what you and others are being fed through the media and other sources. For these outlets plant seeds to how you think. There is a well-known cartoon out now that has a highly desirable baby that attempts to kill his mother nearly every episode. If a child is exposed to this and the evening news starts reporting constant murders of mothers by their children; should we really be shocked? I mean we did promote and support this! Right?
